Saturday Morning

Saturday Morning

A Poem by Jack Cassidy

Saturday morning is buzzin'-the sunshine peeks through cracks of old red brick buildings that look tired from the night before

Around the corner I spot proud old men sitting around a table in a cafe chirping away-about the good ol' days or somethin'

"Now's the time of rejoicing'"
Man I love me some of this Saturday morning

I notice this hot blonde number-pretty gal in her twenties wearing a tight t-shirt with a band I don't know plastered on the front-humming down the sidewalk-she turns her head and throws me a glancing smile-I wipe the drool from my lips

"Hey baby, wanna' spend the day with me?"

She takes my hand and we both skip away to the same beat-we hear Miles in the background

This is a fine Saturday morning indeed.

Well, you should be having a fine Saturday afternoon as well. I could picture the scene. Laid back and real. I liked this. Lydi**
