MOTHER (2 Haiku senreyu)

MOTHER (2 Haiku senreyu)

A Poem by Butch Decatoria

MOTHER

1. (Labor)

In such pain is love

her voice reaching higher halls

giving birth with God.

2. (Genuflect)

Here to care for you

I am more than man or son

I reflect your light.

(Even when you've gone)

I'm unworthy, in your debt,

when our roles reverse.
