Be.

Be.

A Poem by Butch Decatoria
"

Experimental piece. An anthem of sorts...

"

Have them guess

Have 'em wonder

boy, you are too easy to read

Loud as thunder is

your face

is as animated as

a Madame Tussaud-waxen

figure

     you are - pronounced

     just like you are spelled

w.e.a.k.en.ed

each time you lose yourself

to the choices that they make

don't let them see

just how

strong you are able

to be NOW

let them mistaken

your kindness for being

meek;

have them

take you for a fool

Now, let your fire burn again, that

hidden anger will fuel

     the rising sun - a powerful light,

this phoenix,

has no use or time for

crying

let them ponder how

you are flying

now...

stack their curiosity

like bricks

of wishes - create babel-high

worries -

make them sick

     with the riddle of who or where

you are

now

be something new,

an un-named star

become a language they can't

read or say

aloud;

have their jaws gape

in awe

have them think again - who are they

to ~shout out!~

shoot... ~ you wish ~ "say what?!..."

say-say-say "who you are ... but don't leave me...!"

be proud

BE unashamed

Unpronounce'able

NOW.

                    Be.
