Dominique (The Homeless Boyy)

Dominique (The Homeless Boyy)

A Poem by Butch Decatoria

Boy with two why's

the weekend find him restless with

a younger picture of himself on Adam

for Adam's Club for men,

using his computer skills to self-promote & surf

from a new stranger's house

relying on his pozitivity and c**k - alone

but never so

weak to slam, the tweaking

of a fallen angel's halo since

the past has it's chains

attached to ankles, heart and brain...

Hey you

Boyy with two

of your own eyes cannot see

the obligations to one's own life lost

in a crystalline hazed syringe

darting in

to the deepest skin

of a spirtit without

any lively spirit...

Boyy with two

thousand sighs, homeless in

your own pessimistic

mind lacking a center

or wishful fuse

or electric drive

wandering and running on

empty from elaborate excuses

repeated like an affirmation

of a slow sucking suicide...

Still a boyy

with two lives : First,

to continue at all costs

survive

these desperate days and nights

in pole position - Second,

as you were once

before a child with

only the cares of animation, a smile

and playing dangerless

as you were once

a free-bird hatchling

fed you worms so now without

a nest or mother comfort of home,

boyy with two

broken wings still tries to

fly nest to nest searching for

a home

a mother smile...

This touched me deeply! Your description is perfect, yet we often meet or see people who just are not able to help themselves, due to several circumstances... Whether drugs related or not!
Some people remain stuck in their own pessimistic views, very well spotted!
Only I would not have written 'pessamisstic' for I think you do mean pessimistic.
I do like the concept of the boy with the 2 'y's'!
One cannot help but wondering: why?
Your ending says it all, a warm nest is what we all need in order to be able to grow into adults, able to survive in this world and sometimes, a smile can do wonders!
I do not know if you wrote this after you saw someone in this situation, as a passer by or if it is about somebody you know, but you captured this very well.
It made me feel sad, which is a good thing in this case ...
