Mona Lisa Frown

Mona Lisa Frown

A Poem by Vincent Cuccolo

Use me

One by one

The needs you crave line up

Wrap snugly around the world

Paper towel worth

Is what I’ve become

So do rip

Do tear

Crucified in the name of you

This crown that fits me all too well

Perfectly victimized

A portrait of pain

MONA LISA FROWN

Painted in red

Burlesque attitudes

Laughing until your head pops off

The f*****g weasel that you are

Psychopathy

Your greatest blow

All that you know

Cupid’s wings has been plucked

Speedily squashed

Condemned to the common housefly

The spatula of your ungratefulness

Grows thick with the blood of innocence

Check it off

What’s done is done

The hit-list you cherish

Your golden ticket

I should’ve know better

That it was all pretend

All tentative

Just like our love

Thank you very much! And if anyone was confused with this line: "Psychopathy your greatest blow/all that you know", I mean "blow" as in like blowing the drug cocaine, metaphorically speaking, of course! :P
