Endless

I love you endless.

As the horizon always stretches into tomorrow.
So will my heart beat for you,
In the darkness that will one day envelope my existence.

As I take my eternal rest,
There will be a light, a fire that burns.
It will be my love.
For the world will be changed.
There will be a lingering,

A ghostly scar left from our passion.

To remind others that something great existed. 
Something unique and powerful.
And I shall search through the dark to retrieve you.
