Pray for Water

Pray for Water

A Poem by Poetic Angel

She tastes like rain
While I pray for water
Like the ghost
the son
And the holy
Father
Reopening this bullet wound
Inside of me
Because of you
The ink spilled down across my thighs
And somehow it just never dried
your words poured out
Of the bullet hole
I reached inside , cuz I had to know
I had to watch my own blood flow
Cracked my rib cage
Broken bones
Inside of  me it found a home
The ghost of our abandoned souls
Never leaving me alone
It suddenly struck me
the circle complete
Your violated soft defeat
She swells while you tell yourself
It should have been me
The hell of your
Unspoken
Treachery
She's praying for rain
While I taste like water
The ghost of
The son
Was never my father
