Chosen One

Chosen One

A Poem by Poetic Angel

Black cloud lifting I've just begun
Sifting through the wreckage for your chosen one
The centre of the storm
Subsides
The sun the moon the stars and I
Are somehow perfectly aligned.
I keep waiting for a sign
For fate to dictate
To feel alive
Erasure of self
Without any help
Pennies tossed down a wishing well
Each one with a shot gun shell
Echoed like a warning bell
I never existed on your mouth ; your kiss
Never touched you with my fingertips
Letting go of the hold on this
Rewinding time til you don't exist
Tear streaked pleas without logic or reason
Prayed to a God I never believed in
The sins of the father begin with his son
White water grew hotter , I came undone
Black cloud lifting
for the burn of the sun
Sift through the wreckage for your chosen one
