Already Gone

Already Gone

A Poem by Shannon Lee Rohn

Already Gone

~Already Gone~

Sooner or later the tears will stop, and our lives are forced to move on,
But how can you move forward, when a big part of you is Gone?
Upon the creation, and every sense of emotion created to man kind,
To cry every tear that pain leaves behind,
But to prove that within you is the ability to love,
First he must prove your ability to feel pain,
Without the conscious mind going insane,
It's not like 'taking it with a grain of salt',
It's like taking salt with its every grain,
Every detail matters, when created in his name,

Sooner or later the tears will stop, and our lives are forced to move on,
But how can you move forward, when a big part of you is Already Gone?
How can you show sadness, if never first felt sad?,
Or show anger if never first felt mad?,
There must be a cause to every effect,
How can we accept the reality of gain after loss?, when it is equal to that of regret?
Trying to hide behind all that we feel,
Is not the right way to stand behind the shield,
If you are able to truly feel the hurt & sadness shown on your face when you cry,..
With every tear that falls from your eyes,
You must first feel the grief when someone you love dies,
To create every part of our being through his eyes,
Trying to sculpt our heart & prepare our soul,
The final place in life, is better than you know,

Sooner or later the tears will stop, and our lives are forced to move on,
But how can you move forward, when a big part of you is Already Gone?
You can't introduce yourself without saying your name,
Knowing that we must feel all this pain,
He will give to us something in exchange,
To ensure that you can properly heal,
You must first know how it feels,
What is the full meaning of cause & effect?
Without ever knowing that everything is just a test,
Never laying our hearts to rest,
And keep the good feelings away from the rest,
You should still feel it beating from inside your chest,
What if some things don't go as planned?
Will he still stand beside me while holding my hand?
If I am unable to move forward, than forever in this spot I will stand,

Sooner or later the tears will stop, and our lives are forced to move on,
But how can you move forward, when the biggest part of you is Already Gone?
