Write me a Masterpiece

This is one of my first love poems. The story of two star crossed lovers, if you will.

Write me a Masterpiece
like stories of old,
hidden for centuries;
its lyrics like gold.

With lines embellished,
a message so true,
our memories cherished
in a final adieu. 

Expressed with only the most honest of loves,
a freedom of speech like the whitest of doves,
razed as the darkened walls of these hearts;
their silent pulse a true work of art.

Then share it with me under flags at half mast,
our undying love on this tombstone at last;
at the sound of bells we shall be saved,
with the dearest reminiscence our headstone's engraved.

Very nice! Though I feel sad at the last two stanzas. How I imagined it as a legacy bestowed upon to the next generation. Quite the Masterpiece, indeed! Or I could interpret it as the great memories before Death comes. nice! :)
