A life of rhyme

A life of rhyme

A Poem by Michael
"

Just a poem about choosing creativity over destructive behaviour

"

Shady streetwise syllables

Dark words that take you in

Hooded meanings

Vociferous verse

Lyrics replacing sin

Shaping rhyme instead of crime

Brain not bullets and brawn

Persuade with prose

A loved up dose

of shining truth will dawn

Move away from kick and kill

Choose a stronger form

Strive to live

The better life

Not just accept the norm

I hear and agree with your premise. Good idea but, can you sell it to our carnivorous world of cut-throat and blood and tyranny and war and pestilence, dark shadows and lust and on and on and etc. I myself, like good language used and blended with good harmonious verse. It all works in poetry if written with care and written well with the potential readers in mind! Kudos, Michael
