Replaced

Replaced

A Poem by Chris

I was once the one you supposedly

Loved

That word can go so far

Laughing at stupid jokes

Loving the flaws I leak

From my skin

Split into two beings once again

Everything you loved now hated

Repulsed by my jokes

Can't stand the flaws leaking

From Rotting Flesh

Replaced by some generic guy

Clean cut, good job, real family man

Polar opposites

Purposely parade him around

My gravitational force

Knowing his presence will cling

To my thoughts

I don’t care I thought

Polishing off a warm beer

I've been replaced

And soon will he

If it was good and true then one can never truly be replaced.. :)

Very raw and tangible. The feelings in an uproar and how the slide off the page is very captivating. I can relate for sure...
