Onward

Onward

A Poem by Leviathus Fortes

Seeds aplenty planted round
Covered soil, sacred ground
Whatever will tomorrow bring?
A glimpse of summer,  maybe spring?
A true heart wonders
Who am I?
Am I joyous when I cry?
Emotions taking over me
What is it that these feelings mean?
Black and white so vaguely viewed
A color spectrum filled with hues
I know not what path I will take
Yet the future is what I shall make
Stand up for what I do believe
To give respect so that I may receive
A loyalty that doth transcends
Of warming thoughts from family, friends
This path I take
Am I alone?
Will this lead me to my home?
My heart surrounded, fully embraced
I see the path, which do I take?
Forks in the road
How do I choose?
Follow my heart?
I cannot lose.
Sprout like a flower
Do or die
I will not know
Unless I try.
