Stealing

Stealing

A Poem by Leviathus Fortes

You can steal someone's breath
You can steal someone's heart
We call it love, or admiration
Is it manipulation's art

To mimic is to flatter
For you love what one can do best
To belong, simply to matter
Someone is giving you a test

Seeing if you will pay in kind
Helping to make you whole
You can steal someone's mind
But you can never steal their soul
