With the eyes of a child

With the eyes of a child

A Poem by Olayeye Oluwatosin Precious

Look at life

With the eyes of a child

And you might see

All the love around you

Look at life

With the eyes of a child

And you will feel

The joy and laughter in every sound

Look through the eyes of a child

And see the mightiness in smallness

See the innocence and trust in them

How easily their worries depart

With every hope and trust

With the eyes of a child

You'll focus on a life of kindness

There is a child in all of us

Just take a look at life

With the eyes of a child

I really like the line..."And see the mightiness in smallness"
and there is...and so much truth in this...through the eyes of the child the world is innocent, everyone is the same regardless of race or religion...and kids are just so honest.
Love this poem...reminds me a bit of Gwendolyn Brooks who used to write many poems from the perspective of children...and she was so good at that.
lovely woman I was lucky enough to meet a few times...she won the pullitzer the year I was born.
nice work Derrypee.
