what you mean to me

what you mean to me

A Poem by prithasharma

How can I show you what you mean to me?

Is getting together the only way you see?

Our friendship, pure as it is,

can we agree to savor till we live?

I do see in your eyes, the love you feel

sorry, I don’t reciprocate the same.

Suck, it will, if I try with no honesty.

Hurt, it will, more than we can take.

Let’s keep it real,

Be together now, though may not last till morning.

I know it’s gonna be painful to part,

But that’s the best we shall do.

Had some memories together,

stupid, heedless, bittersweet.

You’re changing, as you should.

Saying sharp words that hurt, don’t you feel it would?

I cry, may not shed a tear in front.

You don’t want to hurt, but you rebel,

Hoping I might embrace and soothe the pain.

I stand guilty, seeing the scar you hide,

longing to hold you in my arms, tight.

Life’s long, a big journey to go.

I wish you the best of all.

Hope you’d cherish this friendship, as I do.

won’t blame, you cut all ties, wanna forget it through.
