One Step

A girl stuck in the struggle between her mind and heart- trying to move ahead with lot of strength..

Heart full of thoughts and inhibitions
Measured depth and gravity of situations
Throat choked to speak my thoughts
But my mind said,"Come on take a Step".

Terrified and scared to fall straight on face
Took steps with the slowest pace
Hardest it is to take the first step
Leaving those memories at bay
Heart still said look back
But mind said,"Comeon take one step".

Struggled day and night to makeup my mind
Fight inside me showed me the right
Strength to stand up to face my decision
Courage to come out of comfort zone with precision

With mind and heart in alliance and assured
Walking towards my future with purest hope
That the second chance waits only for them
Who has the audacity to take that ONE STEP!
