One for the romantic, One for the human.

One for the romantic, One for the human.

A Poem by Priyanka Natesh
"

To the dead!

"

He knew it all along

Carried that wondrous secret smug and sly

Planned it all thorough

Bundled up his satchel

Prepared for the night

And he dove into the otherworld

Once and for all

Into the misty haze of hopes and fears

Where he quenches his longings and lusts

Playing fantasia’s his minstrels of love

Safely ensconced detached from human form

His wizened soul drifting free

And I sit here bedimmed

In a wretched world of human ghouls

Marveling his quixotic escape

Wishing for a deathly analogue

One for the romantic

One for the human.

Priyanka, this is beautiful. "One for the romanitc/One for the human". I think this is one of our two poems to a certain Lazarus we know. What a beautiful vision of death and passing. This is always an interesting road to take in writing, the dead road. The only road signs are written in a language of love and loss, and the only echo is of sadness and the rebirth of our personal souls trying to understand death from the other side, a side we can only base our visions upon how much our sorrow brings us and how much love we had for the departed.

I feel two different lives are being told here. One of the love strung alone another full of wise knowledge but resigning them selfs to be greatful to be in love.

Love the poem. I could see a lot of truth and reality in it. This is one poem which shows two different phases coinciding into love. Love this poem. Great job.

It sounds at first like some marvellous saga of which the journey began in a certain time period in the past...about some brave soul who defied the laws of the orthodox...who set free his soul into the wilderness...(I'm a bit ecstatic to feel a deja vu here when I read the line Playing fantasia's his minstrels of love)

And again a future narrator who bemoans against his cowardish attitude towards the quixotic escape...it pinches somewhere in the soul...tantalises...and leaves us unsatisfied in the end with...
One for the romantic
One for the human

My greatest wishes to you...my child Priyanka...you've awed me to the umpteenth extent!

Amazing.... "One for the romantic, One for the human..." Death may take away the human but not his memories from others mind. Sometimes we miss them and feel bad for their early demise, but sometimes the world-life reality consoles us that at-least they escaped this tension filled and troublesome life....

Finally, a happiness lights the heart that the soul is now free, watching us from somewhere far, we should be happy for them....

The write was very sentimental, my grandma was the one who came into my minds first....

Apart from this, i have heard people say that "Always have the positive attitude that those who left us alone and went away are always the good people who did't want to trouble us with their presence which stands for fake affection... Lolz...."

Ur write reminded me of my grandma and a person whom i never wanted to think of ever....The write was very touching keeping my tears as witness....

Sushi...
