Pegboard  Organizer

Every day I pulled into the garage

I saw your prize possession

A brown 32x32 board

crowning your workbench

hundreds of holes

to hang this and that.

You spent all our time,

twenty two years of it

counting, measuring, sorting

bolts, nails, screws, and bulbs.

Drawers full

of save it for someday.

Everything

was marked, labeled, engraved, pigeonholed

and then  silently locked away.

Even me.

wow- i like the line about save it for someday... all the little do-dads but also the one neglected. i like how simple it is but how real it is as well. this is sad but its tight- good work
