Like A Bow

Your mind is like a bow and arrow,

Like the string when you pull back,

It's the demons dragging you in,

You don't know where you'll end up,

Maybe the darkness,

Maybe the light,

Or maybe nowhere to be found....

 

They pick and they pull and they tear you apart,

Your breathing starts to shake as tears fall from your eyes,

The string of the bow tightens as you fight the urge to release,

 

You feel the darkness trying to consume you,

As it grows closer,

You look for the light...

That's your exit

 

You steady the bow,

And as you find the light darkness falls faster...

Is this it?

is this where they win?

 

No this is your chance,

You feel like you've fallen into the darkness

But you're flying through your mind,

Like the arrow flying through the air....

 

This is your escape..

Like the arrow hitting  it's target

You've broken through the darkness

And entered the light

 

You won,

But you don't feel like you have

Tears still flood from your open eyes

 

You're barely breathing 

But you know it's over

As you look up into the cloudy blue sky...

It is really good. To depict the struggling fights of inner demons and your will in the form of arrow and bow is interesting. How the arrow piercing darkness and exiting into light... Nice work. Keep it up
