To see my life differently through my eyes

To feel my pain

To feel my sadness

To feel numb

 

My only times happiness

My times in love

My times of fake smiles

My times of being a failure

My times of pretending i'm okay when i'm not

My times of putting on a mask to hide my scarred and broken mind,

My times of wanting to escape this life forever

 

Wearing long sleeves to cover my pain i show that nobody sees

Wearing a smile when i'm broken inside

Wearing the same mask everyday for months maybe years on end

 

Trying to hold it all together

Trying to breathe  when i can't

Trying to live when i don't know how to

 

Losing my mind

Losing my hope

Losing my faith

Losing myself....

 

But then I met you

The love of my life....

You changed everything.

 

I took off my mask and showed you who i am on the inside

I showed you my past

I threw my mask away

I smiled again...

I can breathe again

I can just be me

 

Baby, thank you for changing my life

Thank you for being there for me even when you so far away

Thank you for listening to me when i showed you who i am underneath the mask

Thank you for being in my life when i thought i had lost everything

 

Thank you for loving me like no one else would

Thank you for giving me dreams that aren't and won't be broken,

Thank you for changing my life completely...

I love you so much that my future with you,

I'd forget my hurtful past
