Resonance

A Poem by Noir Crescent

If we rewind a tape,
Would we find answers
Or questions?

The years of war we spend
Fighting,
Fighting because we were driven
By our emotions.
Emotions, which brought forth chaos
And yet shed some light in humanity.

We are the savages amongst savages,
We create mistakes,
But we are not idiots,
So we find answers to correct them.
Our cruel actions,
Our stereotypical mind,
And our fears of being forgotten,
Being out of place,
And being cast aside like trash amongst the rubble,
Were all us and at the same time
Not us.

Humans cradle in arms of love
And irrational affection,
But never know what it was like
If the arms dropped them into a pit of spikes
Called failure.
If we had known,
We might of cling on tighter
Or had left before so,
But we don't
Because we accept our weaknesses.

If all of mankind knew what it was like
To be in hell
Then, they surely would have seen heaven.
Like ripples in a pond
They spread out and fade,
But will keep on appearing
Until the pond is no more.
