Swamp Women

Swamp Women

A Poem by S.L.H
"

Wrote this in a Kerouac spoken word kinda style during a phase.

"
No matter how hard you want to touch'em, you can't
Their form, you'll see
Eyes, who could look away?
But don't touch those swamp women!
Your blind you fool if you want to wrestle with that fallen and wounded fantasy
Can't be done!
You'll lose everything you never knew you had and then
Face down in a mess; thick muck, your trapped
Suspended in her loving goop, you'll flounder, I can tell
They'll swallow you whole, I know; you wish, but you don't
If you can trust the sun to rise each day then you can trust me
Swamp Women
Steer clear or you'll get lost
Find them and forget'em
Swamp Women
