A Poem by Prophecy

Last night, in private, I sought your hands

Them small easy executing pleasurable fingers

I softly whispered in your ear, to no avail

I waited for what seemed a lifetime, for your scent

A lifetime of dreaming, night and day

For the majesty of your heart, so now

I live still in the dream that is you

It tastes like love and pain mingling

Like female and dark invading me

Will my pain submit to a cure, hardly

Since your affection I cannot seem to win

Then I will suffer the seed of my own patience

That my heart waited eternal in vain

And desire will turn into serenity

And my failure will last like my dignity

And I will not taste love, because I could not have you.
