This is very thought-provoking. I spent more time thinking about your message than actually reading it! I guess that men are more enchanted by newness, so they focus on the beginning. But women are often more interested in love that lasts a lifetime, so they focus on how this is the last love. Then another thought occurred to me . . . that she loses him and that's why she's vowing it will be her last. Many ways to look at this, which is intriguing. Make your reader do all the work!
