misty columns

misty columns

A Poem by Simon Welsh
"

we'll leave someday

"
blue sky whistles
dreaming of starry whispers
think we found a way
to turn the horizon
the colour of the fading sun

take a piece of the morn
and embrace the dawn
shake off the chill
there's beauty outside of slumber

bluebirds sing
of things we'll never see
knowing there is no way
trapped in these city streets
but we'll leave someday
