This is a quote, not a poem, but they don't have a quotes section on here so what are you to do.....

Clever !
Make a friend then be a friend.
Don`t tempt fate ? We all have a good
idea what control we have over fate .
I love the idea of , "economy of words".
This little quotation by you is a terrific example
of all that can be said in just a few words.
Very much a winner !

Oscar Wilde was quoted as saying; "I can resist anything except temptation".

The expression I initially associated with this thought provoking one liner, was - Fatal Attraction.

Nice One!

Don't "play" when the situation is serious.

Dont get in over your head.

Don't unleash one's own desires without knowing how to get control back.

Don't tease someone when you don't know what they might do.

Lots of things come to mind from those few words; I wish I'd known them when I was a kid!

Don't tease, or provoke the person or thing you can not control....
very interesting.
that is the meaning i get out of it....it almost sounds feisty and flirty... something a girl might say to the one she is luring into her web. ha!

Different, I guess it means not to try and control everything, because there are some things you never can. That's my take on it anyway. XX

All that came to my mind was another quote: "Don't bite off more than you can chew."
