Hanger On

Hanger On

A Poem by Bethany Woody
"

Not a new piece

"

Screw your insecurity

and your childish mentality,

I don't have the energy

to waste on your misery.

You lie habitualy

about not being my enemy,

Then toss away your sentimentality

when it suits your eventuality.

Your nothing but injury

wrapped up in frailty,

Trying to hide your negativity

in my reality.

Fiery sparks of angry, yes, you are the one in control. Straight from the soul I feel, piercing, strong...good stuff.

"Tis the shame of the human condition to try to conceal one's real intentions inside others"
I can only hope that whoever this piece was written about is no longer a character in the story of your life
