What is Real

What is Real

A Poem by Bethany Woody
"

#2 in the Kelley Challenge

"
Left with a trace of all that was
like cancer in the system
you are the reason I stay alive
very clearly defined.

You feel me breath
I don't know what else to do
God's money not one to choose
what have I become?

Could have been a better person
maybe just for tonight
we cover ourselves in lies
and I control you.

I did not believe
becasue you were never really real to begin with
and it keeps repeating
my perfect ring of scars.

Though it all looks different now
can this world really be as sad as it seems
my soul is so afraid to realize
after all I died.

Even after everything
you can't change anything
and time is slowing down.
