Crusty Juggler

Crusty Juggler

A Poem by Bethany Woody

Deep within the underground
where only corpses can be found
you'll find one who was once a man
who traveled far across the land
given just half a chance
he'd make you laugh and dance
in olden days he was a jester
traveling to give kings pleasure
a trickster tried and true
the Juggler he's known to you
one day a king did not approve
and his head he had removed
laid to rest
in his Sunday best
now trapesing through all know hells
you hear the ringing of his bells
in the ground he mouldered dusty
and is called the Juggler Crusty.

The idea for this piece came from a topic thread for one of my writing groups. The person to start the thread picks a topic. Then the next person writes a poem or short story on the topic. They in turn choose the next topic. I was given crusty jugglers by an appearent ICP(Insane Clown Posse) fan and this was what I wrote.
