Shine Bright

A song/poem about taking revenge on evil by living well, being kind and shining bright.

You miss the one you used to be

A shining soul and trouble free

Now you’re an inmate

With fear as your bedmate

 

You can’t walk to the park

Without feeling you’re a mark

For everything that’s dark

And vile

What happened to that smile?

 

 

That’s when you,

Look evil in the face with pure love

Handle the devil on your back with kid gloves

Walk through that door and

Settle the score

Don’t let the darkness hide you from the light

Shine bright

 

 

The predators slow down in cars

They stumble out of local bars

You sense their sickness from afar

They’ve taken sparkle from the stars

 

The x-ray vision you’ve acquired

Has managed to inspire

A true and piercing fear

You’re not seeing clear                              

X-rays are always grey

So further on you stray

 

 

That’s when you,
