"Really Super Happy Lovely Feeling"

"Really Super Happy Lovely Feeling"

A Poem by Steven

Two knuckles deftly approached my nose and broke it.
The world swirled around my hot fudge sundae face,

lying sideways, half into the open storm drain.

"Brent you f*****g a*shole!!"

"Ha-ha-what?  F**k that b***h!"

The blurry metal frame and chewy gravel began to focus,

and I moved my numb arm from under me.
Glasses of blood poured out my nose.
I sat up--my head was a balloon.
Brent came in,

but a flash of long brown hair stopped him,
and a very, very fine a*s.
I stared at the a*s...

"Stooooop Brent!--f*****g stop!!"

I placed both hands on the wet road and pushed myself up.
My feet stood square but they seemed to float.
My voice came out hollow, as if spoken from somewhere else:

"You f*****g weak little w***e of a man--come here and suck my prick."

The girl flew to the ground, and here came that big wide arm,
curling around space and the moon, growing larger.
This time I ducked, and fit my head into his gut, hard.

"Oooogh--"

I could feel his ribs curl over the back of my head.
I grabbed his massive right leg behind the knee

and lunged forward with everything.
We moved my way, and he was falling;
I straddled him as he went down.
The back of his head hit the curb, which made the next part easier:
I shoved my left thumb in the hollow of his throat, clenching his thick neck,
and punched him in the jaw 9 times.

He went limp.

I stood up off the giant and looked down at my shirt:
it was glossy red in the middle, the shape of a waterfall.
The brown-haired girl pushed me hard from my right--
I tripped over the big man and rolled in the street.
A Cadillac almost hit me.  The sound of screeching tires
and the arcane smell of burning rubber filled the air.
Doors opened, three of them,
and from behind the two men in front of her,

I saw a blonde woman approaching.
Tall. 5'-10".
They spread like dogs around me, frowning.
She stood between my legs, stared down at me, and pulled at her cigarette.
She pointed her chin and exhaled and said,

"Why are you in the street?  Get in the f*****g car."

"Sorry baby, I was just out playing." I smiled.

It was then that I noticed one of my front teeth missing.
