I No Longer Fear

With a love like this

     I could never go back

Never go where I wanted to, naturally

     Unless it was lost

Please don't be lost

     Your warmth is unlike any I've ever known

Like a perfect beam of sunlight

     Sharing its innocent joy

with a cold, stagnant darkness.

     Its act of kindness

sparked either magic or miracle

      (whatever you might call it)

And I no longer fear

     The ticking of a clock.
