Modality of the Times

Modality of the Times

A Poem by OutsideSyntax

Uncontrollable, multifaceted,

phillosophical processors.

Intrinsically linked to

a non-pomp linguistic projector.

Detrimental to the establishment,

annihilating false pretense,

energized by an unknown sceptre.

I choose to use it in any capacity I can,

as with the spirit of revolution one can't contend.

Incarcerated in the modality of the times,

prisoners of syntax, perception and of the mind.

The price paid for your everyday doings,

shields against the unknowable,

feelings of an extreme you cannot define.

Riddles of prehistory and the primordial mind,

the manifestation of consciosness

into organic lifeforms over the course of time.

This flowed with depth and a very interesting selection of thought and language. I really enjoyed it, one thing you may want to consider is breaking it up into poem form, I think it would add so much more to the piece.

maybe something like this:

Incarcerated
in the modality of the times

Prisoners of syntax
perception and
of the mind

...for example, just a suggestion, one of the things that I really love about poetry is playing with the structure and form of it. Its entertaining and can also create a sense of rhythm and mood.

Wonderful writing. :)
