Hypocrite

Hypocrite

A Poem by QuayvonS

We needed an escape.

She cheated me and he defeated you. Just two friends venting right?

We were simply pouring out emotions, trying not to drown in the pool of curiosities.

We shouted, we shook--you, you shamelessly branded "hypocrite" upon my body but there was no hot iron, just your chest caressing mine, pressing onto each other melting this god forsaken layer of snow.

Only your world chooses to believe in that damned snow, cold enough to freeze reality but never cold enough to freeze time and prevent the "If only I could go back's" from happening.

That snow is a dastardly divine dagger dipped and glazed in our forgotten dreams.

Stab me in the dance of our foolishness, take me out my misery!

I want to blame you for that performance but you remind me this isn't a one man job,

 "It takes two to tango."

This reminds me of Labyrinth for some reason, the words just pilot on their own, piecing puzzles where they dont have to belong, a piece that can be alone.
