Engrained Discord

Engrained Discord

A Poem by QuayvonS

Their dusted wars slipped through the firelight,
Her soft dark frolic reconciled the ceremony.
A mournful storm streamed through her, prowling chaos.
Cliffs swell, immersing memories of him.
After the storm ceases years later, life goes on.
The hope grows a meadow, flowers emerge as years inch by.
Dead dandelions are splotched grey, water colored by her mascara tears.

Reaching the corpse of a plant she picks and blows forcefully, yet nothing is set a float.

Maybe next year these seeds will let go.
