Love is never logical. It goes against all reason.

She met him on a cold night

He said that she was kind

He didn't care about her secrets

How she slowly lost her mind

He loved her nonetheless 

Said he'd love her to the death

He met her on a summer's day

She said that he was sweet

She didn't care about his silence

He made her life complete

She loved him nonetheless

She knew they would stay together to the death

She forgot him when the illness raged

He held her as she screamed

He realized she had slipped away

She didn't know his name

He loved her nonetheless

Said he'd keep trying to the death

To the death

He lost her everyday since that

Her memory is gone

He still loves her, but she's moved on

She's conquered her illness, has a family, a life

Still, she remembers nothing

She forget him in a flash

Now she's gone forever and doesn't know

The way their love was far before

The Death

She was gone and he could not believe

Where his love had gone

He tried to tell her, tried to make her see

But she's lost to him eternally

He loves her nonetheless

It's not logical, I guess

But he loves her nonetheless

For he was never logical

And love is never logical
