Gossiper Ogres

Gossiper ogres have to rattle,

Breeze into our lives to inflict,

Undermine anybody they can,

Imprinting their sourly verdict.

They’ve said we’re bad-seeds,

Dropped some bombs on you,

Stretched their version of truth,

Then concoct anything untrue.

Rumour and those depravities,

Starting from one bitter person,

Tearing despicable open scars,

Slamming merry-hearts broken.

Resentment becomes the key,

Indiscriminately they will spew,

Jealousy carved a foul course,

Dumping ogre-pains onto you.

Tramping someone downward,

Denouncing to see the reprisal,

A sickness shaming our world,

They’ll claim in guiltless denial.

Whisperings of wily-ogres sting,

Just as the invisible heartaches.

Maybe it’ll bunch their numbers,

Snarling at-us similar mistakes?

As kindness persists abolished,

Angry ogres rally in agreement,

Thinking their wrath isn’t wrong,

Of betrayal and bad judgement.

How can they celebrate a victory,

Drawing the first innocent blood?

Do ogres feel better themselves,

When they emit that lousy crud?

Do not be corrupted by an ogre,

Slinging mud-about like a sleuth,

You’ll get burned in the scheme,

Neglecting honour and the truth.

Watch them parade indifference,

Finding there’s an-ogre backlash,

Depicting confident they’re guilty,

Dooming brazen-ogres abashed.

Savour your time gossiper ogres,

Life may not lend you any favour

Your spree-itch detaches shortly,

Crushing hard by-a savvy gamer.

This piece filled me with a really odd scene in the mind. It was if someone had crossed highschool of the damned with a really bad Dungeons and Dragons role playing session with some of the most rowdy and aggressive players there are.

I think you crafted a very unique and well worded piece regarding those who gossip and in turn end up becoming bullies, for words are often as hard as a good bat at times.

Thanks for sharing your ink.
