A romantic insight into the soul.

Its been so long, like a life time has past.

I watch on from the outside, looking in, wondering what could have been.

So much has change and yet so much remains.

Our lives are so different but feelings the same.

 

Mere kids we were and now grown up.

Still in contact, rarely in touch.

I can still see you, how you were, how you are!

But nothing has changed inside your heart.

 

I can still feel your pain, that has remained.

I feel like your searching for me but your blind and unable to see.

We both have grown and yet our core is still the same.

I wake in the night, whispering your name.

 

I look at your life and see what your missing, I provided it once but now you are reaching.

I am older now but its all still there, remember those times I would stroke your hair.

Seperated by time, distance and land but what you still crave was once in your hand.
