Death of a relationship

Death of a relationship

A Poem by R.M.C

Tears pour from my bloodshot eyes,
Cascading down hollowed cheeks,
Flowing 'round an open mouth emitting wordless cries,
Falling into the water rising above my chest.

I stumble along a never ending hallway,
My grasping hand an inch too short,
Deaf and blind to the life of the every day,
My pitiful heart free of the minds reigns.

I know all there is for me to know
Yet lack the comprehension of why you left,
I grab every straw of hope even though
I've resigned myself to the harsh truth.

You left me, descending my world into disarray,
Reducing me to an emotional wreck, struggling to survive each day.
