Perfection of you

Blue sky as far as the eye can see

Alight by the sun smiling down on me;

Birds singing for the joy of morning,

In the tops of trees that awake yawning;

Through the leaves and grass the winds dance, 

Whistling their joyous tune with formless cadence. 

Nature awakes to welcome the day

In a blossoming bouquet of beauty 

That takes everyone's breath away...

But my eyes are drawn from it all,

To you, lying right here beside me, 

The most beautiful rose of all,

Your petals peeling open to set your beauty free. 

I could gaze upon the world for a lifetime or two

But nothing could compare to you;

I offer my undivided attention for all time

Just promise you'll always be mine

So that I may gaze upon the perfection of you.
