Poetria's Creed

Poetria's Creed

A Poem by lightsong
"

behind the words

"

Spare me,
from humanity greed,
gift me,
a place closer to heaven,
enraptured in the universe's arms
saved, drifting swiftly
my being is warm,
I am sprinkling like
the calm raindrops.

release me from
the ground,
higher the spirit,
though, my soul is wounded
still the brightness of my heart
I will sacrifice,
I have a reserve of Love,
where the fountain of affections
ever pounding,
so when the world falls,
I will birth my throbs
for earth, to rise again.

embrace me,
my faithful entity
and rescue me
from my raging tides,
I breathed the sigh of divinity
from His lips, into my roots
a little He knew
a little He knows
and now I think of me;
who am I?

I am a thought;
a thought that feels
that abounds and sings,
You don't have to like my words
or understand,
and how many still are there
dreaming to print my heart,
to affect You
to impress You
how many verses still are there
to love You.

when I am floated away,
read me again
and leave heavens
to shed my prayers,
then, emerge me from joy
in wondrous forms,
and know that love
isn't in the beauty of my words
but love is,
in the thumps taking the lead
of my heart, unto yours
that I am not the dream,
but the reality
dwells in the miracle of,
your breathing sound.

Good morning my friend,
I decided to go back to the very first poem you submitted on Writerscafe and work my way up with your poems as it appears I have read all the more recent ones.
This one is just as lovely as all the ones I have read of yours.
The way you write has the same underlying tone in all your poems...a real "signature" style of writing..which I love. Like a famous painter when you see his work you know it is him.
So special your words are...
Lisa,
having coffee, on this dark and cold morning here in Spain..now off to practice piano before my lesson at 8am..

In so few words you conjure a universe of dreams. Is this what being a poet is to you? How it must overwhelm your heart! Such beauty!

Hi Gounwah, well, I have reached your first write. It is as beautiful as any of the writes that came after. You have always let your heart sing with such perfect emotion and you have done so in this write. You bring out the emotions from your readers by your creativity in the art of poetry. Your gentle grace touches the soul. Your poetry shall ever sing. Your poetry takes the reader so close to Heaven. Have a wonderful Wednesday. Love and Hugs always....Mike.

lightsong--
This is one of the most intense and sincere poems I've ever read! There are so many emotions happening at once, yet it doesn't feel crowded or overwhelming. The whole scope from beginning to end makes me feel airborne, defying gravity, skydiving in reverse. And I think I realized one of the things I respect about you the most, your capacity for love, that no matter how painful it is to be alive, ultimately you're empowered by hope. I think that's at the heart of this poem, especially in the loneliest, saddest lines-- hope. Thank you for letting me read this.

Light, love, chocolate-raspberry coffee in spillproof travel mugs,

This also reminds me of Leonard Cohen---

Beauuutiful... for sure, Your heart sings poetry my lovely Patricia 🌷
I've not read anything this moving in a long time. I find so much genuine humility and love in this poem. But this echoes softly long after reading...

Love
isn't in the beauty of my words
but Love is,
in the thumps taking the lead
of my heart, unto Yours

What I read here is the essence of love, sharing the good and the bad, the dark and the light, the smiles and the tears, as one body and heart.

An exceptional work that it beautifully illustrated.

thank you for the enlightenment of your luminosity... so strong are these lines from your heart they shimmer off the screen and into mine as I read them.
