Wither

Wither

A Poem by R.M.Allen

Those eyes made you feel as though you were lost in a forest;
terrifying, but yet, at that time equally as beautiful.
They were peaceful;

tranquil, and it felt as though you were being swallowed whole
by a nightmare,
incapable of escape

Before long it grows cold.
The leaves glow red and slowly fall,
collecting only to be blown away.

Even a forest withers
during the coldest,
silentest of times.
