Stuck in dense foliage

Stuck in dense foliage

A Poem by Rachael

There was a sickening screech,

A head on collision with the voice inside me.

Scratching at the walls,

Trying to weave its way out like a deer stuck in dense foliage.

Stumbling and tumbling,

Slipping and tripping,

Stalling and falling.
