Fading Mask...

Fading Mask...

A Poem by Rachel Renee
"

I wrote this about my father...

"

Your eyes are like fire

They burn from within

Eating away at every happy thought

Every endorphin that runs beneath your skin

Your soul has turned to ash

Your heart is no longer pure

Your memories are faded

Between them and dreams you can’t be sure

Smiles are fake

Laughter is forced

Your words are full of anger

Your voice is harsh and hoarse

Make your decision

Before fate does it for you

Live while you can

Time, your only virtue
