A Poem by Rachel_Biggs

Who will give the most?
Bend until you break,
Fall gracefully,
Pick yourself back up.
It’s too late,
You are ensnared.

How does this happen?
Your soul is the Devil’s possession.
You can’t break free, even if you want.
Tired, cold, shattered,
You try to leave,
Exhausted.

Stolen moments of happiness,
Secret pains shared,
The point is lost.
You want to be gone,
To leave it all behind.
Find another rainbow.

Try to make them understand,
Why you stay.
You wonder sometimes, too,
It’s hard to explain.

You know when it’s coming,
You can always tell,
The anger, the rage, the sadness, the regret,
You wish there were others like you.
Those who stayed, for just one more chance,
Ignoring the pain.
