Within

He looks down at his weeping lover
stares at the tears cascading from her reddened eyes

                   what has he done to cause so much pain?
                              what words silently slipped?
                              what look glaringly pierced?

she softly moans through her rain
trying to explain

     my dear
     my sweet
     my love
                       this was not you
          you can not help me
                               if only words could explain
                        each tear that falls
                    my sighs of pain

he wishes he could fix her scars
she tries so hard to save him from herself
                                     he can never bring her out of this

she is trapped
