Father's Pain

Father's Pain

A Poem by GhostWriter_R@hul

(Alarm ringing)
It’s damn 6 AM in the morn’ while looking up in the mirror he thought,
“Damn! Yesterday was so fucked up but today will be my day”
His little girl ‘Zoe’ stepped in to his room “Dad today you gotta pay school fees, and I wanna join Jazz classes and I need outfits which fits me”.
She turned nine…..He fell to reality realized He is not the single man, now He is a daddy
and today is another messed up day.
All he had 40 bucks in the pocket and it’s hard to convince his princess
He didn’t wanna break her heart, couldn’t see her falling apart
Cause she was looking like princess in that pink dress,
Which her momma brought her from the savings, which momma made since she was in 4th grade.
“Baby I’ll buy the stuffs on your mind” Daddy promised & she smiled.
He threw wave to her daughter & left the house for the day
Thinking what he will answer to her when he return
Baneful thoughts killing him, what she’ll think of him her daddy is a looser!
Who is not able to raise her,
Will she feel regret of being my daughter?
No wonder, he had a fucked up day as usual.
Came back home she was waiting for him right in front of the door.
She noticed dad brought nothing, now she felt like heartbroken.
“Dad, where are my things? You promised me in the morn’ you gonna buy everything.”
“Baby I tried, but your daddy is running outta money,
But honey,
Tomorrow I’ll buy for you don’t worry.”
“No dad, you lied to me. I am not a kid anymore I know you can’t provide these stuffs for me.”
“Back in the school my friend’s dad brought diamond ring for her,
When it shines it brings smile on the face of her,
You ain’t know dad, how much I felt bad.”
“Zoe, I know how you are feeling but your daddy is not lying,
See I’m trying,
But things in this world are not easy as it seems.
It’s like you are getting to rid off but everyday you wake up with your sins.”
“And I know I was not perfect man for your mommy but I can try to be best daddy.”
“No Dad, You ain’t,
You always make fake promises,
That’s why momma left us,
I don’t trust you, I hate you.
You were not there when mommy needs you.
She cried a lot thought you’d come back.”
Now guess what, one day I’ll leave you and you’ll be yelling for me to come back.
That was the worst night he ever had,
He burst in to tears,
He never cried like this before, even when his parents left him alone when he was a kid,
Even when his wife left him when he has 5 years old kid
A man never cries but he does feel the pain,
Zoe turned back, looking at her he just said,

“Zoe I wish you could understand fathers pain”
