Veil of Grief

Veil of Grief

A Poem by RainbowNight
"

First love is always the hardest right?

"

I saw the sky revolve around us

We breathed the backyard air together

And felt the roads give way to a diamond city bus

You’ll be in my heart forever

The analytic lights taught me how to taste

The gorgeous hurricanes that erased

My fears off the face of the planet

A million miles for you; I ran it

Even though you aren’t a star

You’re more beautiful by far

I wanted to set sail with parallel ferry boats

But there’s a barrier stronger than any castle moat
