Wind Rider

Wind Rider

A Poem by Rainbowco
"

On a hot summer night my thoughts turn to the coolness of a storm brewing.

"

The breeze quickens soft teasing through high leaves

Gentle sigh of cool relief filtering green downwards

Darkly emerald is its color caressing hair, brushing skin

The tender fingers of lover, I lift arms slowly upwards

To feel but not to touch two worlds I stand between

Waiting in the velvet den loud is the coming of the wind

Rolling off the high bluff then catching my soul up

I become… wind rider

This poem caresses the reader much like the breeze that is its subject. Wonderful sensory descriptions here that sweep up and carry the reader like a leaf on the current of the wind as well. Well done!

I liked this very much, Rainbowco, especially your wonderful use of imagery. Felt the cooling and uplifting with your images of green. Very well-written.

What a cool poem! I feel like that every evening as I wait for the breeze to shift and carry away the heat of the day.

I like the fluid rhythm of it...it's beautiful. The only thing I would suggest is going over it and checking for typos before posting your work-however, it does not distuinclty detract form the poem, and is still generally a wonderful piece.
